i may be culturally literate, but i never said which culture
The cinema is going to be having a Mod festival in a few weeks. Last night i was asking the cinema’s director what sort of events will be going on.
Me: “Will there be music?”
G: “Oh, yeah, we’re going to have bands every friday night! We’re going to have qwwoeiu;hnfecn qoweiruavjp 23uivn alekjaslwuc k.”
Me: “Sounds awesome!!”
G: “You have no idea what i’m talking about, do you?”
Me: “Nope.”
G: “Have you heard of blahblahblah?”
Me: “Nope.”
G: “Have you heard of blahblahblahblah?”
Me: “Nope.”
G: “Have you heard of Young Fresh Fellows??”
Me: “Yes!!! Because they’re referenced in a They Might Be Giants song!”
G: “. . . .”

I bored Andy with this anecdote last night, to which he replied, “Do you want your tape back now?” He’s a good man. ;)

Oh, i’ve totally already offered my scooter as a prop. It will probably be parked outside the cinema frequently in coming weeks. When i asked, somewhat facetiously, if G would like Andy and me to bring our scooters over for decoration, G surprised me by enthusing, “YES!!”
Granted, our scooters don’t have nearly enough chrome and mirrors to be Mod scooters, but they still look nice.
